Blackbird leather jacket by Tautau Samoa
The Blackbird leather jacket is made from the exclusive Japan Black leather of Kobe cow, which is known for its exceptional durability and quality.
Its classic stand-up collar protects against wind and weather, while the carefully integrated zippers and piped pockets combine functionality with aesthetics. The braided pattern in the chest and shoulder area is inspired by the Samoan mats and symbolizes the close connection between people, nature and community.
The jacket's symbol, a Samoan frigate bird on the back yoke, stands for strength and orientation.
The luxurious black satin lining and hand-quilted details make the jacket a distinctive work of art.
Each Blackbird leather jacket has an individual serial number that underlines its uniqueness.
This jacket is not just a piece of clothing, but an expression of identity and individuality.
It reflects the cultural richness of the Samoan tradition and stands for principle, excellence and special individuality. Perfect for the modern man who is looking for quality and depth in his wardrobe.
Measurement guide for tailor-made leather jacket
If you would like your leather jacket cut to individual measurements, please follow our detailed measuring instructions.
Proper measurement is key to a perfect fit. Grab a tape measure and have someone else help you to get the most accurate measurements.
STEPS:
- Neck circumference: Measure the circumference of your neck where your collar sits.
- Chest circumference: Place the tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, directly under your armpits.
- Upper abdominal circumference: Measure the circumference of your upper abdomen directly under your breasts.
- Waist circumference: Determine the circumference of your waist at the navel level.
- Arm length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder to the base of the thumb.
- About the neck: Measure the neck with the head tilted.
- Shoulder width: Measure the width from one shoulder to the other, across the back.
- Jacket Length: Determine the desired length of your jacket by measuring from the collarbone across the chest to the desired hem.
Please note that measurements should be taken as accurately as possible. If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size to allow room for adjustment. If you need help or have any questions, please contact our customer service.
